Who we are

FamRelay is operated by GDK Computer Systems and Services (“Cognary”, “we”, “us”). “FamRelay” is a Cognary product. By using this website or connecting an assistant to FamRelay, you agree to these terms. Pilot participants also receive a separate pilot agreement.

Early access

FamRelay is live in early access. Features and availability are limited and may change or stop as we learn. Nothing on this website is a promise that a particular feature or integration will be available.

Acceptable use

• Only share information you have the right to share.
• Keep health, financial, access-code, intimate and children’s sensitive information out of FamRelay unless we have explicitly agreed otherwise.
• Connect only your own assistant, signed in as yourself. Don’t share to an email address unless you intend that person to receive the item.
• Don’t attempt to access other people’s data or disrupt the service. Report suspected issues to security@famrelay.ai.

Your content

You keep ownership of the information you submit. You give us permission to store, encrypt and deliver it only as needed to run the service for you: to pass the items you approve to the people you chose, for as long as you chose. We don’t sell it or use it to train AI models. The privacy notice explains how we handle it.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve FamRelay without owing you anything for them.

Withdrawal and deletion

You can stop using FamRelay at any time by removing it from your assistant. To have your account and its data deleted, email privacy@famrelay.ai. You can also leave the pilot at any time; the pilot agreement explains what deletion covers there.

Disclaimers and liability

Provided as is. FamRelay is in early access and currently free. We provide the website and the service “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an item will reach a recipient by a particular time. Don’t rely on FamRelay for anything urgent or safety-critical.

Your assistant is not ours. FamRelay passes on what your assistant sends it. We aren’t responsible for what an assistant says or does, for how its provider handles your information, or for what a recipient does with an item after receiving it. Stopping sharing removes an item from FamRelay; it can’t remove what a recipient or their assistant has already seen or saved.

Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the website or the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or removes rights you have as a consumer.

Suspension and ending. You can stop at any time, as described above. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to protect the service or other people, or if we stop offering FamRelay. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which GDK Computer Systems and Services is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live somewhere whose consumer laws give you the right to bring a claim locally, these terms don’t take that away. Before starting any formal dispute, please write to us at hello@famrelay.ai so we can try to put it right.

Changes

We may update these terms as FamRelay develops. If a change is meaningful, we’ll update the effective date above. Continuing to use FamRelay after that means you accept the updated terms.
